As a teacher and visionary leader, I see the world calling for new social dynamics for better conservation of natural resources and protection of the cultural, economic and social diversity in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. My teaching philosophy is based on the adoption of green values such as participatory democracy, ecological sustainability and decentralization. It relies on establishing learning communities targeted towards non-hierarchical learning, learner-centered approaches and collaborative learning processes. It focuses on the development of independent learners where teacher’s role is to motivate students to discover themselves, their capacities and their inner being; as well as to dig in their innate sources of knowledge. Its main purpose is to contribute to shape the mind and heart of students to be citizens of the world while cultivating authenticity, strengthening national identities and sense of belonging and having respect to the diversity in nature, of cultures and societies.
